Joe Charlton

Hi and welcome to my personal portfolio website! My name is Joe Charlton and I am a 22 year old graduate web designer and developer from Blackpool, Lancashire, UK. I am currently working for Kirkham based web design company - Zoosh Media, as a web designer/developer. Along side my busy working schedule during the week for Zoosh I also operate a freelance service in bespoke web design/development. 

I have over 4 years experience in web design/development, 3 of which were during my time at Edge Hill University where I achieved a 2.1 BSc (Hons) Web Systems Development degree. I enjoy creating usable, accessible and cross browser compatible attractive looking websites. I have the skills to develop dynamic websites, featuring a Content Management System (CMS) using PHP and MySQL to allow you to update and edit your website's content securely and easily.

I have a very active lifestyle and was rewarded with a Sports Excellence Scholarship by Edge Hill University for my participation in the sport of Inline/Ice Hockey, where I have previously represented Great Britain. I have competed in the Junior World and European Championships and currently play for Glossopdale Devils and West Coast Wasps Sting. I also enjoy playing football twice a week and training at the gym.
